Ewing´s Sarcoma in the rib with tumorous extention to the lung

Abstract
|
|
|
This paper is to report a case of Ewing´s sarcoma in the left second posterior rib, followed by direct tumorous metastasis to the left lung.
The patient was a 12 year old Korean female who visited to Jeonbuk Provincial Medical Center with chief complaints of the left chest and shoulder pain, a bulging, mass in the left posterior upper chest, and weight loss for about 4 months.
The physical examination revealed a poor nurished appearance and Horner´s sign:
The lung biopsy taken from exploratory thoracotomy showed typical metastatic Ewing´s sarcoma, large cell type.
A review of literature is submitted.
